I have airtel mobile connection and want gprs setting on my mobile but even after calling airtel customer care 10 times and 5 sms for getting the same, i just waiting to get it. when i calling the reply is same : I am sending it write now, within 5 minutes you will get it.
The airtel (Zain) customer care are hopeless.

Zain modems are not the way to go… Highly unreliable coz they keep disconnecting and even when connected they are surprisingly slow… Orange is way more reliable and significantly faster.

Its one month now since I bought the Zain modem and all I could do is load 1K in it. Nothing from that time. Only permanent disconnections even before an established connection. Badly disappointed.
zain modems are stupid and crapy my advice stick to orange,airtel sucks
I am disappointed, I acquired my zain modem as the first modem for me to own but it hardly works, it keeps on disconnecting whenever you connect, you top up but nothing seems to work, have settled for orange which hardly disconnects and your staff are hardly helpful especially the Eldoret customer office at Barng’etuny plaza.

Do not use Airtel. They are without doubt the most useless company of all time. I have never experienced such poorly trained customer service staff that are actually encouraged to lie to you in order to sell you this ineffective service. I thoroughly recommend using any other provider
If you think zain modems are crappy you should try orange. orange 3g+ modems disconnect continuously plus those guys steal data from you. You could be just browsing with a balance say of 200MB and after checking mail you realize your balance is 50MB. Am talking from experience here, orange has been scamming me since March 2010 but no more. 2011 is a new year and I only want good things around me.

The modem keeps disconnecting and its too slow. I prefer using my phone as a modem! but i lose connection when recieving a call. Am on zain only because I don’t like safaricom
I have the same unlimited bundle offer from safaricom, it is pathetic… the first one month things were good… after my fair share.. I borwsed with speeds ranging from 15… down to 9 kbs. But the second month subscription… things went real bad… The highest speed I have downloaded a document is 5kbps… Mails cant open.. sites cant be accessed… I have tried to follow up with shankardass care center,, Moi avenue.. I am now exhausted… I wish we could get the best option out there..
I bought a zain modem last surtaday.I have been unable to recharge the account. I am prepaid.
Every time i try downloading anything on the Zain modem, it gets disconnected automatically including updating my antivirus! Can Zain style up, It’s so dissappointing!

Safaricom gives up to 7.19mbps actually 224.6875 times faster..(calculated as 2190kbps/32kbps=224.6875),they also have the unlimited option…
Zain should just pay the $25million to CCK and get a 3G or just Forget about data provision.
U will come to realize even Orange EVDO is faster,it plummets at 1mbps most of the time…No Offense!
I am on Safaricom until such a time that the other operators are willing to bear the costs of 3G licenses…its Safaricom or no internet–No Offense!!!
help im using zain modem wherever i try to top up my modem i can’t recieve any msg from center. not even deliver report is sent to me. please help.

sorry safaricom is on 3G giving up to 7.2mbps,
GPRS are only 40kps speeds! safaricom is on 3G giving up to 7.2kps, why can zain even compromise and give an Edge connection that can give at least 256kps. i also feel this connection is shared with voice, and voice is given high priority! then depending on cell size the speeds again is compromised.
